Frame Lab renders every frame, device and background entirely inside your web browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. When you drop, pick or paste a photo it is decoded into your browser's memory, composed with the frame and background on a canvas, and encoded back to PNG or JPG on your device. No image, filename or pixel data is ever transmitted to our servers or to any third party. There is no upload endpoint. Closing or reloading the page clears the photos from memory.
We use localStorage to remember your frame settings (frame, colors, zoom, tilt, background, caption, output size and similar options), your saved frame presets, the theme, and, if you purchase Frame Lab Pro, your license status and key. This data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.
If enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the tool is used (page views, which frames and buttons are used, approximate region). Analytics never receives your photos or filenames. Google may set cookies or use similar technologies for this purpose. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking analytics scripts.
Frame Lab may display advertisements served by Google AdSense to keep the tool free. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or via aboutads.info. Visitors in the EEA and UK will be asked for consent where required.
Frame Lab Pro purchases are handled by a third-party payment processor (such as Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad or Stripe). We do not see or store your card details. When you enter a license key, the key and a device label are sent to the processor's license API to confirm it is valid; no image data is included. The processor's own privacy policy applies to the checkout and license check.
The "Batch ZIP" feature (Pro) loads the open-source JSZip library from the jsDelivr CDN only when you use it. The CDN may log standard request data (IP address, user agent). No image data is sent to the CDN. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
Frame Lab is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
